Well, after painting this piece from reference, in 1988, I went back to Balboa Park, and almost fell over!! I had forgotten that I DESIGNED this piece to fit on the format I'd chosen...worked from about 8 photos. For anyone who has visited the park, no they did not ENLARGE the reflecting pools, which in reality were
NEVER this wide, and "lake-like"...
that was my "artist license".
This piece was placed in a home by a Nationally known
Interior Designer
who resides in Rancho Mirage, California.
