Even the most mundane subject can be instilled with a quiet beauty. This particular piece was created merely to understand the values inside a room...that is why I allowed a part of the outside to be included...giving a relationship of these close values.
This was painted years ago, when a friend of mine, Lynn Gertenbach, and I traveled to see Ovanis at his new studio in southern Idaho. This was not a "set up", merely something "just setting around."
