As the old millennium was passing, I received a call from a fellow artist,
Bonnie Shields, who handed over a commission for the local newspaper, to do a Millennium Book cover for that special celebration.
In past years, the three towns here sometimes have a tough time giving equal share time on coverage (not to mention all the little towns,
who often get ignored).
When I began this piece, it was decided that the town north of here would do their own cover, to be sure they were represented.
When I went out into all the small communities to do my research, I pulled something that would represent each, to the best of my ability. The result:
THIS COVER WAS USED FOR BOTH COUNTIES.
Needless to say, I felt greatly honored.
