In the summer of 2003, there was a major exhibit of Irish paintings, in Butte Montana, at the Main Stope Gallery.
Butte is the second largest population of Irish decent, outside of Ireland!
The majority of the show was plein air paintings created in SW Ireland. There was also several larger studio paintings of the same area. This piece was created from the combination of photo reference and plein air pieces, and can be viewed at the Coit House Bed and
Breakfast on 4th Street, one block north of Cedar, in Sandpoint Idaho.
